IMPORTANT: SITE UP (SORT OF)

I don't have any details, but it appears much, perhaps all of the site has been backed up at reocities

If you really need anything, PLEASE make a copy of it. I have no idea what reocities is, who controls it, or how long it will be up. But I would like to thank them for the backup!

Making a kettlebell or klubbell heavier

This is an interesting idea on making a kettlebell heavier. The same basic idea could be used to make a heavy club, starting with the pipe design.

Worlds cheapest, easiest prowler, with a catch

Hopefully you have seen my streecrawler. My only frustration has been the inability to push high on the handles. Sorinex systems Root Hog (really cool name and device), gave me the idea of adding an extended handle to the streetcrawler. Well after some drilling and experimenting, I have temporarily abandon that idea. BUT, I came across what may be the easiest idea yet. Just use the handle, in my case a one inch 4 foot pipe with 2 twelve inch handles attached to it with a T, to push the inside of the front of a tire. It work really well. I need to experiment more as it was 10 degrees and icy in spots, but I think it will work well. So if your super cheap. a tire is all you need. You can push super low by just grabbing the tire and pushing, or use the handle for a higher grip. The catch is, it's going to take a little more experimenting to determine a tire size, likely an individual thing based on strength. I'm thinking a couple 2x4s on top if added weight is needed. I think the ideas has promise.

Ice Walkers

I'm not sure what you call them, but the things you attach to your shoes to walk on ice can be made! Simply attach small 1/4 or so inch sheet metal screws to the soles of your shoes. This would work really well for winter running or in my case yoke/farmer walks. Just use an old pair of shoes. More details can be found at the links below.

Thanks!!

A big thanks goes out to Jason for the link below. Luckily, with his help, I'm able to keep things alive until I'm able to get another site set-up.

I also need to apologize to anyone that I haven't gotten back to lately. I'm stressed out and overwhelmed with work and classes. I was hoping for a nice thanksgiving break, however, I have 2 tests Monday, an assignment due Tuesday, and yet another assignment due right after Thanksgiving.

Interesting article on making a heavy kettlebell

AKC

Note on RV anti-freeze

I used this in a couple kegs and a tiger ball. The stuff is suppose to be OK with the environment. HOWEVER, while the stuff doesn't expand, it DOES freeze. So it may eliminate the movement factor it extreme cold.

Wood pellets

Nice idea on the ross forum about using wood pellets in a sandbag.

School

I'm back taking classes again. So, I may not be as active posting. I am working out about the same. I've been on a maintain routine during the extreme cold. I HOPE to pick it up soon, as I would think we would eventually get some warm weather, maybe...

I did buy a Aspire one computer. One of those super small ones. I'm real happy with it and I hope it will allow me to post a bit more often.

I haven't had any major new projects in awhile. I did have some thick 1 3/4 inch handles welded onto a hex bar, but that's about it...
